This is an expanded and revised edition of "Kogin Embroidery Pattern Play," published in 2016, with new designs and works added.

The author, Tomoko Ueki (Harinooto), is a popular kogin embroidery artist known for her unique original designs.

The book introduces many fun kogin embroidery designs inspired by the six prefectures of Tohoku, including apples, iron kettles, kokeshi dolls, cherries, Itaya horses, and Akabeko cows.

New designs featuring fried shrimp, corn, and peanuts have also been added.

There are also works featuring classic designs that are easy to embroider and beautiful in their functionality, such as bags with 12 traditional patterns and fukusa (wrapping cloths) for congratulatory envelopes.

Approximately 50 small items are included. A lesson on the basics of kogin embroidery and how to make a coin purse is also included.
